ENGINEERING SOFTWARE
Read the Below Descriptions
Landmark (Very Good)
Operators need
a big picture to develop their assets successfully. Once they understand the
reservoir's potential and how to access it effectively, they must operate with
the highest efficiency to achieve the performance they've planned. To
drill deeper, farther, faster, cycles of quick learning and adjustment continue
all during field development. Landmark solution to managing the Drilling
Lifecycle is designed to:
- Maximize
reservoir contact and drainage
- Meet and
document best practices for continual improvement
- Inform
quick decision making for safety, profit, and performance
Landmark
drilling and completions products and services use the DecisionSpace® Integration
Server to close connectivity gaps between disciplines and departments so
that workflows can be integrated for collaboration throughout the field
development process.
Drilling Office (Good)
Drilling Office
Schlumberger Software has various modules for any drilling operation:
Data Browser gives you the power to create and
manipulate drilling project databases. Drilling data are stored in a SQL
database. As with the other Drilling Office applications, Data Browser can be
installed in stand-alone mode or in conjunction with Survey Management and
Drilling Engineering
Survey Management provides an intuitive method of
creating, importing, and exporting proposals and surveys and the ability to
perform anti-collision analysis. To create and work with proposals and surveys,
a spreadsheet-oriented interface is provided. When you create a proposal, you
provide a starting point (tie-in) and one or more segments, profiles, or
targets. Segments can be hold or curve sections. Profiles contain multiple
segments and are useful for quickly planning to targets within the database. To
work with proposals and surveys created in previous version of Drilling Office,
data can be imported from ASCII files
The Drilling Engineering module enables
you to perform hydraulics, torque and drag, friction factor calibration, BHA
sag, BHA Vibration, and BHA tendency analysis on a wellbore geometry. For each
of these analysis types (except Fiction Factor Calibration), you can perform
single-point and multiple-point computations for drilling, tripping, reaming or
circulating operations
DD Toolbox is one of four modules in the
DrillingOfficeX suite. It consolidates most of the operational needs of the
field directional driller into one application that is part of DrillingOfficeX.
DD Toolbox serves as the primary execution tool for the Schlumberger Drilling
and Measurements unit (D&M) directional driller at the wells
CemCADE (Very Good)
Design and
optimize various cementing job parameters
CemCADE
cementing design and evaluation software aids in designing and optimizing
various cementing job parameters. This integrated software is applicable for
all primary land or offshore cementing operations, from large-diameter surface
casing to the deepest liners. It can also optimize plug placement.
Ensuring well
security and verifying the success
CemCADE
software ensures well security at all times during cementing jobs. It optimizes
pipe standoff and helps calculate the optimal displacement of mud and
preflushes (mud removal and cement placement) to reduce the risks of channeling
and microannulus (zonal isolation).
Actual job
execution data can be imported into CemCADE software to compare the design with
actual results to verify the success of the operation. SynCBL can be used to
simulate the CBL response based on execution job data. This response is
compared with the actual CBL data, and interpretation of the cement logs is
performed.
PIPESIM (Good)
PIPESIM is a
flow simulation software program that’s used for modeling multiphase flows.
Mid-sized and large companies in both the oil and gas industry use PIPESIM to
understand the behavior of fluids in their systems. As part of normal use,
PIPESIM can optimize production and identify and diagnose operational
challenges with the help of its computational fluid dynamics (CFD)
capabilities.
Businesses have
depended on PIPESIM for more than three decades. They use the software for
three basic types of flow modeling: Multiphase flow, heat transfer, and fluid
behavior. In addition to those core functions, users enjoy some of this
software category’s most innovative capabilities. For example, PIPESIM provides
built-in three-phase mechanistic models as well as advanced tools for PVT
modeling.
The PIPESIM
simulator offers the industry’s most comprehensive steady-state flow assurance
workflows for front-end system design and production operations. The flow
assurance capabilities of the simulator enable engineers to ensure safe and
effective fluid transport—from sizing of facilities, pipelines, and lift
systems to ensuring effective liquids and solids management, to well and
pipeline integrity. In addition, where dynamic analysis is needed to add
further insight, the PIPESIM-to-OLGA converter tool enables the rapid
conversion of models. Shared heat transfer, multiphase flow, and fluid behavior
methodologies ensure data quality and consistency between the steady-state and
transient analyses.
OLGA (Intermediate)
The OLGA
simulator is one of the principal components in analysis of pipeline
operations. The OLGA Three Phase program base can solve most of the normal
challenges associated with pipeline flow, but many additional modules have been
developed to better solve particular problems. These include predictions of
hydrodynamic slug behavior (Slugtracking), advanced heat transfer (FEMTherm),
tracking of individual components (Comptracking), simulation of multiphase
pumps, non-Newtonian behavior (Complex Fluids), advanced modeling of the
hydraulics (OLGA HD), corrosion, and prediction of single component flows.
OLGA is a modelling tool for transportation of oil, natural
gas and water in the same pipeline, so-called multiphase transportation.
The name is short for "oil and gas simulator". The main challenge
with multiphase fluid flow is the formation of slugs (plugs of oil and water)
in the pipelines, which causes large problems at the receiving end at the
platform or the onshore plant. The modelling tool makes it possible to
calculate the fluid flow and safely bring the flow to the receiving destination
on shore, on a platform or a production ship through the pipes.
Although these modules are nominally for pipeline flow, they can also be used in simulation of well operations.
Saphir - Pressure Transient Analysis (Intermediate)
KAPPA is the
leading provider of Dynamic Data Analysis software, training
and consulting services. Data are analysed on whatever scale is available, from
high frequency, high resolution transient data through low frequency, low
resolution rate data in production analysis and on into full field history
matching and vertical description using production log and formation test
analysis. Released in 2016, Generation 5 speeds workflows, connectivity and
provides a powerful platform for the future and automation.
KAPPA contains
seven software: Saphir, Topaze, Rubis, Emeraude, Citrine, Azurite, Carbone.
Pressure
Transient Analysis, or PTA, is, in most cases, about
analyzing high frequency, high resolution shut-in data. The data are captured
during dedicated well test operations such as DSTs or production tests or during
routine operational shut-ins by Permanent Downhole Gauges (PDG). The pressure
response from these shut-ins can be used to provide information about the
reservoir within the radius of investigation for radial flow or the area of
investigation for more complex geometries. The diagnostic plot of choice is the
loglog plot where the pressure and the Bourdet derivative allow the
identification of reservoir geometry and properties, these are then matched
with models. Specific operations require specific processing, such as multirate
gas tests, interference tests, multilayer tests, etc. The development of
deconvolution allows us to combine several of these shut-ins in time to provide
information much deeper into the reservoir than would normally be feasible by a
shut-in alone.
Saphir is the industry standard PTA software, used by nearly all
major IOC’s, NOC’s, Independents and Service Companies. Its simple user
interface and workflow allows for fast training and self-learning for
occasional users. For the advanced user, it offers a unique combination of
analysis tools, analytical models and numerical models which can connect to
other dynamic data application such as Topaze for Rate Transient Analysis and
Rubis for fullfield history matching.
